Horses are a lot of things: beautiful, majestic, wild. But they can also be stubborn and unpredictable. And when you're trying to teach them a new behavior, that can be really frustrating.
This course is designed to give you the kind of training that will help you get your horse on the right track towards being a calm, healthy, and obedient partner.
Learn to read your horse's body language: Horses are subtle and will often communicate their intentions through body language before they act. It is important to learn how your horse communicates with you, so that you can be prepared for any situation as well as respond appropriately in a way that doesn’t compromise safety.
Use your body language, intention, and energy to move the horse - establish yourself as the dominant partner in the relationship without using fear tactics or punishment.
Handling the lunge line/whip with confidence. Horses are naturally fearful of things that they don’t understand. It is important to be able to approach and work with your horse with full confidence so that they don't feel threatened by you and can form a trust-based bond.
