With Jocelyn Huot
Congrats to everyone that participated and completed this challenging and incredibly rewarding advanced In-Hand clinic.
Saturday May 27th, 2023: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Intro to Groundwork and In-Hand Clinic is a prerequisite.
Cost for both Intro to Groundwork and In-Hand and Academic In-Hand Clinics: $425+HST (Discounts for Auditing)
The course will be taught by Jocelyn Huot, an expert trainer who has been working with horses for over 25 years. It is important to know how to train your horse in-hand because it helps you gain control over the horse's movement and posture, which can make all the difference when you are riding them.
This clinic provides a training program for horse and rider that focuses on the biomechanics of the horse while lunging and doing in-hand work.
You will learn how to train your horse to do laterals that will strengthen your horse's muscles, teach them proper balance through impulsion, increase flexibility/relieve pain and stress, and further develop the relationship between horse and rider.
For a horse to move fluidly and accurately, it is important for humans to understand how the animal moves, so that we can spot problems with movement or behavior and correct them.
Attending this clinic will teach you how to identify and replicate correct movements in your horse — and also give you a solid understanding of the biomechanics that lie behind those movements.
You will also learn French dressage techniques based on the Jean Luc Cornille Science of Motion In-Hand methods to help you understand the horse's body language and movements. These techniques work for horses/riders in all disciplines because the in-hand method focuses on the horse's posture, balance, locomotion, and attitude.
Learn to interact with your horse without being in the saddle - so that you can better understand how they move and behave.
